The 2026 issue of the Wyman Journal is on its way to our mailing list of Journal recipients, in either digital or printed formats. Read through this issue to update yourself on recent and upcoming events at the Francis Wyman House and in the Association.
Since this 360th year is special, we’re planning to have the annual meeting and lunch at the nearby Emerald Rose Irish Restaurant at about 2:00 PM. We’re looking forward to a big turnout! The historic Wyman Homestead will be open to the public on Saturday, September 12 from noon until three p.m. There is no admission charge, but please consider making a donation towards the maintenance of the home.

Issue 40 of the Wyman Journal Newsletter has an update from Jon Wyman, President, on the work completed on the Homestead in 2024-2025, most important being the exterior repairs and painting. Also in the issue are announcements of the launching of our updated website and the date of this year's Annual Meeting (Saturday, September 20th). Notes from the 2024 Annual Meeting and, of course, our list of the most recent FWA donators are included, too.
On April 19, 2025, the Francis Wyman Association hosted a Patriots Day commemoration of Amos Wyman giving refuge to John Hancock and Sam Adams at Amos's home as they fled the British on April 19, 1775.
Needed exterior repairs and painting of the Homestead was initiated in 2024, and by August work was well underway.
Issue 39 of the Wyman Journal Newsletter relates the sad news of the passing of our long-serving Treasurer and erstwhile President, Ginny Mucciaccio. The issue includes other news and the list of our most recent contributors.
Through both the physical and monetary efforts of members of the Association, we were able to complete the rebuilding of the well-sweep in 2023. Thank you to all of those who helped make this a reality!
