Annual Meeting 2013

We had a fantastic Wyman Annual Meeting Day. We had a brief business meeting followed by our traditional Family photo at 12:00. After lunch we enjoyed a presentation on how the flax flower turns into linen cloth by Kath Hirbour of the American Textile History Museum, including a flax and wool spinning demonstrations by Barbara Provest.  Rebecca Lofgren was in costume adding to the colonial flair of the day. John Goff, from the Historic Preservation and Design, likes to think that the demonstrations and lessons we experienced were among the first offered by the new WPSS or Wyman Preservation Skills School–that he will be developing in more detail over the next 9 months. Hope to see you there next year.
